Company Background
Established in 1987 as a partnership Bill Taylor and his wife Linda began on a life time's ambition to run there own business. The first year as with any business was to establish themselves as a reliable and quality plastering contractor. Bill Taylor 's vision for the business was quality, reliability and customer satisfaction, with this the business began to flourish taking on board bluechip companies who to this day still approach EMP for those said reasons.
EMP specialise in plastering, drylining and screeding, mainly working within the East Midlands and South Yorkshire areas, although we have gone further a field as London and Manchester .
The business was registered as a Limited Company in 1994 with Bill Taylor still at the helm as Managing Director, turnover grew from a mere £100k in the first year to the present level of £3m. Over these years EMP has built up a strong and hard working management team and now employ in the Nottingham and Sheffield area as well as locally some 48 employees. All site operatives hold a CSCS card as well as numerous other qualifications required by health and safety.
In 1997 EMP as an established plastering/drylining contractor decided to add a wall and floor tiling business to their portfolio with a business name of EMP Ceramics Ltd. The tiling business has also grown over this 10 year period with a current turnover of £.5m and is now well established within the East Midlands area.
