Glapwell FC have pledged to support Great Britain's armed forces by offering free admission to home matches to services personnel and veterans next season. To gain free admission to matches, spectators will need to show a photo ID in the form of an MOD90 service ID card, or other photographic proof of service. Veterans can show a regimental association or Royal British Legion membership card.
Operations Director Kevin Gee has confirmed that Glapwell FC will also be following the lead shown by other clubs by offering free admission to their home Unibond Division 1 South League games, in respect of all our Armed Forces past and present as a thank you for all the sacrifices each and everyone of them have made over a number of years to ensure we can remain in a relatively safe environment. I think it is important in times where perhaps the youth of today do not appreciate the sacrifices made by previous generations and at times show little respect , that we can at least in our own world of sport provide a friendly environment and be able to entertain our friends |
